How to Handle the Conversion of Codes When Downloading the View Permissions Settings CSV File
If the department code output in the Bulk View Permissions Settings file is too long, it may be converted into symbols due to Excel specifications. Uploading the file without modification will result in an error.
Please refer to the following solution.
The following information is only an example of operation and is not covered by our support, and may be subject to change in case of different Excel versions or changes in Excel specifications. If you have any questions, please contact the support source. |
Example of Operation Procedure (Excel for Windows Office365)
1. Open Excel in a new window and click on "Blank workbook".
2. Click "Data" ▶ "From Text / CSV".
3. Double-click the downloaded CSV file.
4. Click "Transform Data"
5. Confirm that the code that was converted to a symbol has been converted correctly to the code, and click "Close and Load".
6. Copy all data from the second line down.
If the data in the first row is included, an upload error will occur. Therefore, paste all data except for the first row on a separate sheet and then export as a CSV file.
7. Open "Sheet1" on the right side, right-click on "A1 cell", and select Paste Values Only.
8. Right-click on the "original sheet name" and "Delete".
9. Click "File"
10. Click on "Export"
11. Click "Change File Type" ▶ "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.CSV)" ▶ "Save As".
