View Permissions Settings Use Cases
This article explains use cases for setting view permission rules.
1. Allow all Action Plan Managers to view the results of their departments and subordinates (including concurrent roles)
This is a case where all users assigned the "Action Plan Manager" role in User Settings can view the results of their primary and concurrent departments, including subordinate departments.
1-1. Specified Rule
All Action Plan Managers × Affiliated Departments (Primary + Concurrent) × Subordinate Departments

1-2. Procedure
① Select “All Action Plan Managers”
② Under “Organization/Attribute to View” ▶ Check “Department of target user (primary + concurrent departments)”
③ Under “Additional Scope of Viewing” ▶ Check “Subordinate Department” and “All”
2. Allow department heads to view the results of their departments and subordinate departments for new graduate and mid-career hires
This is a case where Action Plan Managers are allowed to view the results of basic custom tabulation items for their department and subordinate departments.
2-1. Specified Rule
Bulk selection from Organization/Attribute × Affiliated Departments × Subordinate Departments

2-2. Procedure
① Select “Bulk Selection from Organization/Attribute” and choose who should see the results
In this example, select “役職(Job Title)" under “Organizational Hierarchy/Attribute” and “部長(Department Head)” under “Department/Attribute Item”.
If you select “Primary or Concurrent”, users acting as department heads in concurrent departments will also be covered by the rule.
② Under “Organizations/Attributes to View” ▶ Check “Department of target user (primary department only)”
③ Under “Additional Scope of Viewing” ▶ Check “Subordinate Departments” and “All”
④ Check “Custom Basic Tabulation”
By checking “Custom Basic Tabulation” above, Action Plan Managers will be able to view results based on the organization/attribute combinations registered under “Admin” ▶ “Custom Tabulation Settings” ▶ “Basic Settings”.
3. Allow department heads to view company-wide results for new graduate and mid-career hires
This is a case where Action Plan Managers are allowed to view results for specific attribute items.
Example: Allow department heads to view company-wide results for “New Graduate” and “Mid-Career” hires.
3-1. Specified Rule

3-2. Procedure
① Select “Bulk Selection from Organization/Attribute” and choose who should see the results
In this example, select “役職(Job Title)” under “Organizational Hierarchy/Attribute” and “部長(Department Head)” under “Department/Attribute Item”.
② Under “Organizations/Attributes to View” ▶ Check “Any Organization/Attribute” and in “Organization/Attribute Selection”, choose the departments/attribute items to show to department heads
In this example, select “New Graduate” and “Mid-Career” under “Select Organization/Attribute”.
4. Allow department heads to view results for their departments, one level up, and subordinate departments,
but allow section managers to view only their departments and subordinates
This is a case where the scope of viewable results differs by attribute item. In this case, set up two rules.
4-1. Specified Rules
・Rule 1: For department heads: “Bulk Selection from Organization/Attribute × Affiliated Organization × Parent Department × Subordinate Departments”
・Rule 2: For section managers: “Bulk Selection from Organization/Attribute × Affiliated Organization × Subordinate Departments”

4-2. Procedure for Rule 1
Set up the rule for department heads.
① Select “Bulk Selection from Organization/Attribute” and choose who should see the results
In this Rule 1 example, select “役職(Job Title)” under “Organizational Unit/Attribute” and “部長(Department Head)” under “Department/Attribute Item”.
If you select “Primary or Concurrent”, users acting as department heads in concurrent departments will also be covered by the rule.
② Under “Organizations/Attributes to View” ▶ Check “Department of target user (primary department only)”
③ Under “Additional Scope of Viewing” ▶ Check “Parent Department” ▶ “Up to the Next Higher Organizational Unit” and “Subordinate Departments” ▶ “All”
You can set parent departments up to one level above, and all parent organizations excluding the entire organization.
1-3. Procedure for Rule 2
For Rule 2, follow the same method as Rule 1, but select “課長(Section Manager)” under “Organizational Unit/Attribute”, and check only “Subordinate Departments” ▶ “All” Additional Scope of Viewing
