What Is Consent for the Collection of Personal Information?

When respondents answer the Engagement Survey or Focus Survey, they may be required to consent to the collection of personal information on the answer screen.

When conducting surveys using Motivation Cloud (hereinafter “the System”), the commissioner of the survey (hereinafter “the Commissioner”) plans to handle your personal information in line with the following. Please read the following and, if you accept, start the survey.

• Your name, contact information, and responses provided to and information entered into the System is shared among the Commissioner, Link and Motivation Inc. (the provider of the System), and its affiliated companies (hereinafter “LMI”). The information is used for such purposes as distributing survey questionnaire forms, formulating human resources policies based on the results of the questionnaire, and measuring the benefits of these human resources policies. Moreover, the Commissioner accesses the responses provided to and information entered into the System in a format that makes it impossible to identify you. The responses provided to and information entered into the System is not used for your employee evaluation.
• LMI processes your information obtained through the System into a format that makes it impossible to identify you and then uses that information to analyze the appropriateness, reliability, and trends indicated in surveys, make public announcements, and develop and improve services.
• The Commissioner or LMI may transfer your personal information to a third country that is not the country you reside in, such as Japan, for the above purposes. At that same, LMI implements measures necessary to protect personal information, such as certifying adequacy and concluding standard contracts stipulated by supervisory agencies, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• You have the right to withdraw your consent and the right to access, correct, and delete your own personal information. If you have requests or questions regarding the handling of personal information, please submit inquiries to the Commissioner.
