Register, edit, or delete additional questions
What Are Additional Questions?
In the Engagement Survey, in addition to the standard questions asking about "expectation" and "satisfaction" for each item, you can also set "additional questions." There are two types of additional questions:
- Default Qualitative Questions: Default open-ended questions available optionally
- Customizable Questions: User-defined original questions (up to 50)
Default Qualitative Questions
Default Qualitative Questions are displayed in the Engagement Survey with the following text:

If you want to remove the Default Qualitative Question
Please contact Customer Support at least three business days before the survey start date. -
If you want to change the wording of the Default Qualitative Question
The wording cannot be changed. If you wish to change the wording, request deletion via Customer Support and register a new question as a Customizable Question. -
Response Data for the Default Qualitative Question
Can be downloaded as a CSV file.
Customizable Questions
You can freely specify both the question text and the response format for customizable questions. Methods for reviewing results depend on the response format.

Registering Customizable Questions
① On the "Admin" screen ▶ Click "Engagement Survey Implementation Settings"
② Click "Additional Questions"
③ Under "Displayed Organization/Attribute Settings for the Response List File," select an organization/attribute and click Save
- To prevent personal identification, only one organizational unit or attribute can be selected for display.
- If hierarchy settings are enabled, parent departments and parent attributes will also be displayed.

Please select "Do not set" in the following cases:
- When no organization/attribute is set
- When the number of respondents belonging to the selected organization/attribute is only one or below the minimum threshold, resulting in many hidden responses
- This setting cannot be changed after the survey has started.

④ Click the pencil icon for "Customizable Questions"
⑤ Select a language, enter the "Heading" and "Description," then click "Save"
The heading can be up to 400 characters, and the description up to 1000 characters.
⑥ Click the pencil icon for "Additional Questions"
⑦ Set the display order, language, answer requirement, question text, and supplementary statement
⑧ Select a response format
You can choose from the following five response format types:

When Using Selection-type Questions (Single or Multiple Choice)
Please configure the answer choices along with the response format.
If You Want to Calculate the Average Value
To analyze a customizable question by average value, check "Calculate average value" and enter the corresponding numerical values. Only single choice formats support average calculation. These values will not be visible on the answer screen.

You can add, delete, or reorder answer choices.

Edit or Delete Customizable Questions
Edit: Click the pencil icon, make changes, and then click "Save"
Delete: Click the trash icon and then "Delete"
After the survey starts, some items can no longer be added, edited, or deleted.

Preview the Response Screen for Additional Questions
You can preview how the configured questions will appear on the response screen.
① Click "Preview Answer Screen"
The screen shown after clicking will differ depending on whether the default qualitative question is enabled via: "Admin" > "Operational Settings" > "Operational Rules".
If the Default Qualitative Question Is Enabled
The default qualitative question will be shown first.
If the Default Qualitative Question Is Not Enabled
An explanation of the customizable questions will be shown first.
