2026/3/25 Easier Analysis of Open-Ended Responses to Additional Engagement Survey Questions

Following the September 24, 2025 release that made it easier to analyze results for additional multiple-choice questions in the Engagement Survey, you will now also be able to easily analyze results for additional open-ended questions.

This feature is currently available as a beta version and supports Japanese only. 

Changes

Before
Previously, you had to manually categorize and analyze the file containing responses to additional questions.

After
You will be able to analyze results based on AI-aggregated response comments.

Analysis available:
・Frequent theme classification: Frequently appearing themes are extracted from comments and grouped by theme.
・Sentiment classification: The sentiment of comments (positive/negative) is classified.
・Content summaries: Responses are summarized to help you quickly understand the overall picture.

How to check

1. Check aggregated results on screen
   *Available for: Overall results only

2. Export as an Additional Question (Open-Ended) data file
   *Available for: Overall results and up to five departments/attribute items selected during aggregation

How to Use

“Results / Improvements” > “Additional Question Analysis”
This feature is available only to System Owners and Administrators.

Note

This feature applies only to surveys for which the “Response List for Additional Questions” file is downloaded for the first time after this release.
If that file was downloaded before the release, AI-generated aggregated results cannot be output. Thank you for your understanding.

Settings Required to View AI-Aggregated Results

To view AI-aggregated results, you need to aggregate the results for additional questions separately from the Engagement Survey result aggregation.
Select organizational units and attributes for each question, then run the aggregation.

Note: There is a limit to the number of “organizational units and attributes” that can be aggregated

You can select and aggregate up to five organizational units and attributes per question, and you can add more later until the limit is reached.
However, once aggregation has started, you cannot change the selected organizational units and attributes.

In conjunction with this release, we also made the following improvement.
2026/3/25 Changes to Organization/Attribute names in the Engagement Survey will be reflected in the response list for additional questions.

Notes on Using This Feature

• Customers who have disabled the use of generative AI cannot use this feature at this time.
• We will continue improving this feature toward general availability based on your feedback.
• This feature uses generative AI (Gemini). If you would like to restrict its use, please contact Customer Support ([e-mail]).

Background

Until now, analyzing open-ended responses required manually classifying the data, which took considerable time and effort.
With this update, open-ended responses will be categorized automatically, making it easier to identify specific issues and improve initiatives more smoothly. We hope you will find this feature useful.
