Check the results of additional questions (Choice)

This article explains the settings required to view Additional Questions (Choice) results, and how to view those results.

Types of Additional Questions Response Data　

There are four types of response data for additional questions.
How to view the data varies depending on the type of response data. Please refer to the table below for details.

※1 Settings are required in advance to display averages. This can only be configured for questions with "Single-Choice" as the response format. Please refer to "Register, edit, or delete additional questions" for details.
※2 Action Plan Managers can only view the results for the departments assigned to them in "Action Plan Manager Settings" or "View Permissions Settings". To view the results, set "Publish Results to Action Plan Managers" to "Published" in the additional question publication settings. For details on how to configure this, see here.
※3 Additional settings are required. Please refer to "Configuring the Previous Comparison for Questions" in this article.

Before Viewing Results

Configuring the Previous Comparison for Questions

The Previous Comparison for Questions setting is a feature that allows you to compare Additional Questions (Choice) results with the previous Survey.
Configure this setting when running the second or subsequent Survey.
Once the Previous Comparison setting is configured, the previous comparison for each question will be displayed on the Additional Questions analysis screen.
This feature applies to Choice questions only. It is not available for Comments.

 

Note　

If automatically linked to the previous Survey, this setting is not required. Configure the Previous Comparison for Questions setting only if one of the following applies.

• If the previous link was removed due to changes made to additional questions
  Refer to Detailed Specifications for cases where the link is removed.
• If linking to a Survey conducted before 9/24/2025, when this feature was released
  Since automatic linking is not performed, configuration is required.

Steps

① "Admin" ▶ "Engagement Survey Implementation Settings"
If you set this after the results are published, please proceed to step ④ from the "Engagement Survey Results Management" ▶ "Additional Questions Previous Comparison Settings" screen.

② Click "additional questions"

③ Click "Previous survey Comparison Settings"

④ Click "Edit"

⑤ For the "Current Survey," select the questions and options from the previous Survey to link.

⑥ Click "Save"

Detailed Specifications

1. Cases Where the Previous Comparison Link Is Removed

• If the response format of a question is changed
  Example: Changing "Single-Choice" to "Multiple-Choice" or "Comments"
• If answer options are added or deleted

2. Period During Which Previous Comparison Settings Can Be Configured or Changed

The Previous Comparison setting for the current Survey can be configured or changed from when the "Begin Implementation Preparation" button for the current Survey is clicked until just before the "Begin Implementation Preparation" button for the next Survey is clicked.

Example: To configure the Previous Comparison setting for the Survey conducted on October 6, 2025,
the setting can be configured or changed during the period from "Start of implementation preparation for the October 6, 2025 Survey" to just before "Start of implementation preparation for the March 1, 2026 Survey."

Viewing Results

Viewing Results on the Results Screen

Click "Results & Improvement" ▶ "See Additional Question Results" 
The "Additional Question Results Here" button is displayed only on the Results List screen.
If the button is not displayed, click "Results/Improvement" again and check the Results List screen.

You can view compiled data such as number of respondents, response rates, and averages. 

  Note

• If no values were configured on the Additional Questions settings screen before the Survey was conducted, averages will not be displayed.
• If the number of respondents for the relevant organization/attribute falls below the specified minimum number, results will not be displayed.

How to Download

① Click "Results & Improvement" ▶ "See Additional Question Results" ▶ "Download"

② Click "Select Format" for the data you want to download
· Additional Questions (Choice) Data: Scores for all questions
· Additional Questions (Choice) Time-lapse Comparison Data: Comparison with previous Survey

You can select the file language and character encoding as needed.

③ Select the target for the download file and click "Download"

Additional Questions (Choice) Data
Select the file format before downloading.
· Response Rate: Response rate data for each option
· Average: Average score data for each question

Additional Questions (Choice) Time-lapse Comparison Data
For Time-lapse Comparison Data, select the target and format before downloading.

When downloading "Custom Tabulation Basic" data, select the target organization/attribute.

  About Data Reflection

For Additional Questions (Choice), when changes are made to organization/attribute settings or result data is corrected, those changes will be reflected in the Results Screen and the various result data files.
