Register, edit, or delete additional questions
What Are Additional Questions?
In the Engagement Survey, you can configure additional questions in addition to the basic questions that ask about the “expectation level” and “satisfaction level” for each item. There are the following two types of additional questions.

Default Qualitative Questions: Predefined questions (one Comment question)
Question text
Please freely enter any expectations or requests you have regarding the “company, supervisors, or workplace.” If you answered the previous survey, please freely enter anything you feel is “different from before” or “has changed” regarding the “company, supervisors, or workplace.” - Optional Additional Questions: Custom questions that can be freely configured (Choice or Comments, up to 50 questions)
Types of Answer Data for Additional Questions
There are four types of answer data for additional questions.
The confirmation method differs depending on the answer data. Please check the table below for details.

*1 Advance configuration is required to display average values. This can be configured only for questions whose answer format is “Single Choice.” Please check “Register, edit, or delete additional questions” in this article for details.
*2 Action Plan Managers can check only the results for the departments they are assigned to in “Action Plan Manager Settings” or “View Permissions Settings.”

Register Additional Questions
Register
① Click “Admin” Screen ▶ “Engagement Survey Implementation Settings”
② Click “Additional Questions”
③ Select and save an organization/attribute in “Display Organization/Attribute Settings for the Answer List File”
To prevent individual identification, select only one organizational unit / attribute to display. If hierarchy setting is configured, parent departments and parent attributes are also displayed.
Select “Do not configure” in the following cases.
・When no organization / attribute is configured
・When the number of respondents belonging to the display organization / attribute is one or is below the minimum number of people required to display answers, resulting in many hidden items

④ Click the pencil icon
⑤ Select a language, enter the “heading” and “description,” and click “Save”
The heading must be within 400 characters, and the description must be within 1,000 characters.
⑥ Click the pencil icon for “Additional Questions”
⑦ Enter the question display order, language, answer requirement, question text, and supplementary statement
⑧ Select the answer format
Answers can be selected and configured from the following five patterns.

When configuring Choice questions (single choice or multiple choice)
Configure the content of the choices in addition to the answer format.
When you want to calculate average values
To analyze additional questions (Choice) using average values, check “Calculate average values” and enter numerical values. Average values can be calculated only when the answer format is “Single Choice.” The numerical values configured here are not displayed on the answer screen.

Configure Disclosure Settings for Action Plan Managers
Configure whether to disclose the results of additional questions (Choice) to Action Plan Managers.
When set to disclose, the results of additional questions (Choice) are also disclosed to Action Plan Managers when the Engagement Survey results are disclosed.
・Configuration unit: This must be configured for each question.
・Initial state: The default is set to “Private.”
・Viewing scope: Among the results for the departments linked in “Action Plan Manager Settings” or “View Permissions Settings,” the results of questions set to “Published” For details, please check “Scope of Additional Question Results Published to Action Plan Managers”
Operation Method
① "Admin" ▶ "Engagement Survey Results Management," select the target survey and click "Publishing settings for additional questions".
② For the questions you want to publish to the Action Plan Manager, change "Publish Results to Action Plan Manager" to either "Published" or "Private".

Edit or Delete Additional Questions
You can edit or delete registered optional additional questions.
Edit: Click the pencil icon, then click “Save” after editing.
Delete: Click “trash can,” then click “Delete.”
After the survey starts, some items cannot be added, edited, or deleted.

Check the Answer Screen for Additional Questions
You can check how the configured questions are displayed on the answer screen.
① Click “Answer Screen Preview”
When there are Default Qualitative Questions
The answer screen for Default Qualitative Questions is displayed first.
It is not displayed if the setting has been turned off in advance in “Operational Settings” or if Default Qualitative Questions have been deleted.
When there are no Default Qualitative Questions
The description of additional questions is displayed first.
