Compile Additional Questions
To check compilation results by AI, the results of additional questions must be compiled separately from the Engagement Survey results compilation.
|
To use the AI compilation feature, you must download the “Additional Question Answer List File” (all answer data for Choice and Comment questions) and finalize the answers. |
① Click “Compile Questions”
② Select the “question” to compile
③ Select the “organizational unit/attribute” to compile, then click “Next”
|
Up to five “organizational units/attributes” can be selected and compiled per question, and additional compilation can be added later until the upper limit is reached. However, once compilation has started, the selected “organizational units/attributes” cannot be changed. |
④ Check the content, then click “Start Compilation”
* If there is a large amount of data, compilation may take some time.
⑤ Check the compilation completion email
When compilation is complete, an Additional Questions (Comments) Compilation Completion Email is sent to the user who started the compilation.
Check Compilation Results by AI
There are the following two ways to check compilation results by AI.
Check on the Result Screen
* Only Overall (company-wide) is applicable.
Click “Results / Improvements” ▶ “Click here for Additional Question Results”
1. Understand trends for each question by sentiment classification × frequent theme
You can check the number of comments by sentiment classification and the number of comments by “frequent theme” for each question in graphs.
Sentiment classification: AI classifies all answer comments into three categories: “positive,” “negative,” and “neutral.”
Extraction and classification of frequent themes: AI analyzes all answer comments, extracts up to 10 themes that are mentioned in many comments, and classifies the comments by theme.
|
|
2. Understand details using the “AI Summary” for each frequent theme
You can check summaries of answer comments for each frequent theme (AI Summary) by positive and negative sentiment.
Check in a File
* Overall (company-wide) and the organizational units/attributes selected during compilation (up to five) are applicable.
Additional Question (Comments) Data includes the following two items.
List of sentiment and theme classifications for answer comments
You can check the “answer comments,” “sentiment classification,” and “frequent theme” for each respondent.
|
They are the same as the attributes displayed in the additional question answer list file. For details, please check “What organization and attribute items are displayed in the list file of additional question responses?” |
Summary List
You can check the “number of answer comments” for each frequent theme and the “count” and “summary” by sentiment classification.
|
The organizations/attributes selected when additional questions were compiled are displayed. |
Download Method
① Additional Question Results Screen ▶︎ Click “Download”

Detailed Specifications
About the AI Compilation Method
AI compilation includes “sentiment classification,” “frequent theme extraction and classification,” and “summary.” Please check the following for the detailed compilation method.
Sentiment Classification
| Sentiment | Classification Method |
| Positive | This applies to comments that include positive emotions such as appreciation, satisfaction, trust, or praise. |
| Negative | This applies to comments that include negative emotions such as dissatisfaction, criticism, concerns, or problem statements. Expressions that indicate requests or expectations may be judged as negative even without explicit emotional words. |
| Neutral | This applies to comments that do not include emotional expressions and only describe facts or share situations. |
|
If a single comment includes both positive and negative content, it may be classified as both positive and negative. |
Frequent Theme Extraction and Classification
| Compilation Process | Content |
| Theme extraction | The system analyzes all answer comments and extracts frequently mentioned topics as frequent themes, while also considering the context of the question text. Even when expressions differ, content with similar meanings is grouped under the same theme, and up to 10 themes that represent the overall responses are displayed. * Answers that do not contain content, such as “nothing in particular,” are not included in the compilation target. |
| Classification into themes | The applicable themes are determined based on the content of each comment. Comments are classified not only when there are explicit expressions, but also when they can be judged from the context to apply to the theme. |
|
If a single comment includes multiple points, it may be classified into multiple themes. |
Summary
The system summarizes the overall trend of comments based on content that corresponds to the “sentiment” and “frequent theme.” If a single comment includes multiple topics or sentiments, only the applicable parts are extracted and summarized. Up to three summaries are displayed for each combination of “sentiment” and “frequent theme,” and they may not be displayed when the number of comments is small.
About Data Reflection
If result data is corrected or Organization/Attribute Settings are changed after downloading the additional question answer list file, the impact on the results of additional questions varies. Please check the table below for details.
Table | Data Reflection by Target and Situation
| Target | Result Data Correction | Changes to Organization/Attribute Names | Deletion of Organizations/Attributes |
| Additional Question Answer List File | × Not reflected | ◯ Reflected | × Not reflected |
| Additional Question (Comments) Data File | × Not reflected | ◯ Reflected | × Not reflected |
| Additional Question Result Screen (Comments) | × Not reflected | ◯ Reflected | × Not reflected |
About Result Display When the Number of Respondents Is Below the Minimum Number of People
If the number of respondents for the applicable organization/attribute is below the specified minimum number of people, the results are not displayed on the Result Screen or in various files.
However, if the number of respondents for that organization/attribute meets the minimum number of people, the results are displayed even if the actual number of answers to Comment questions is below the minimum number of people.
